

Members make significant contributions to their host site, the youth served at their host site, and the community - contributions that extend beyond the 10-month service year. The most significant benefit to being a member is the chance to be involved with a program that makes a big difference.
The AmeriCorps Program benefits package has a value of over $20,500 when the stipend, education award, insurance, and training is taken into consideration. This value does not include other benefits you may be eligible for such as child care, food stamps, and housing assistance.
