I have a passion for people and people are my passion! I believe in the spirit and importance of service to others, and especially the mission of AmeriCorps. I served as an AmeriCorps Member for 9 months in the Snohomish County AmeriCorps Program (formeraly named Youth Connection AmeriCorps Program) before transitioning to the AmeriCorps Program Coordinator in May 2006. In March of 2008 I became the Director of the program. A love for working on behalf of youth and with exceptional AmeriCorps Members each year keeps me inspired and enjoying my work every day. I am committed to making this program and the experience of its Members as successful as possible.

I received my Bachelors Degree in Sociology from Western Washington University with an emphasis in social organizations/social inequality, and family/life course. I love to learn, believe strongly in education, and strive to be a life long learner. If I could get paid to go to school for the rest of my life I would sign up today!

Western Washington has been home to me my entire life. I love and have been active in sports since I can remember, and can't imagine life without them. I coach girls volleyball, enjoy running 5 and 10k races and snowboard in my free time. I also enjoy traveling throughout the US and abroad.
