Subject: Income Guidelines

Effective Date: January 24, 2006

A.        Policy

Consistent with the Workforce Investment Act, the Washington State Strategic and Operations Plans for workforce development, and the Snohomish County Workforce Development Council Strategic and Operations Plans, the Income Guidelines in Column (2) are to be used in determining if a given adult is to receive priority for service under the 75% category as low-income based on family income relative to family size for Program Year 2005 starting on the Effective Date, above.

Consistent also with the Act, the State plans, and the local plans, the Income Guidelines in Column (4) are to be used to determine if a given individual is self-sufficient based on family income relative to family size for Program Year 2005 as of the Effective Date, above.

Please see Memoranda #05-01A and #05-01D to determine how these income guidelines relate to eligibility, registration, and exit for the Workforce Investment Act Title I-B Adult and Dislocated Worker Programs, respectively.
