Subject: Complaint and Grievance Policy (Excludes Discrimination Complaints)

A. BACKGROUND
Consistent with 29 CFR Part 37.76 through 37.79, the Snohomish County Workforce Development Council (WDC) and its partners maintain compliance with the requirements of the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) regarding the processing of complaints and grievances.
B. POLICY
The WDC and every subrecipient under WorkSource Snohomish County adheres to WIA Policy 3440 - Complaint and Grievance Policy (Excludes Discrimination Complaints) and informs applicants and participants of the process described in Attachment A which includes an informal resolution process.
Discrimination complaints or grievances filed by an applicant, participant, or registrant are covered in WIA Policy 3450 and WDC General Program Management Policies and Procedures Memorandum #01-03.
