To whom should the letters of proposal be addressed |
Workforce Development Council Snohomish County |
The first paragraph outlines instructions for potential new providers. The second paragraph is directed to existing providers. Do existing providers answer the same questions in Section III and follow the same page limit or should they do something different ? |
The questions and page limits apply to both existing and potential new providers. |
Can you clarify what is meant by “any other relevant past performance delivering supportive services to participants in workforce investment programs” which is to be described in question #2 under supportive services? |
The term “supportive services” in this context refers to any services that are provided to remove barriers to successful participation in education, training, and/or employment. These services may include, but are not limited to, child care; transportation; health care; mental health services; substance abuse assessment, counseling, and treatment; housing; food; clothing; work-related tools and clothing; and emergency services. |
For the Letter(s) of Proposal RFP released on 2/10/2009, is it preferred that respondents submit a combined response for Adult and Dislocated Worker services or to submit separate responses for each program? |
One three page letter may be submitted describing both adult and dislocated worker services. |
Are attachments to the Letter of Proposal acceptable (for example, to provide more detailed information about experience and performance), or must all questions be answered as completely as possible within the three page limit? |
Attachments that directly relate to the questions posed may be provided. |
| In the Adult/Dislocated Worker Program section asks us to describe our “experience working with collective bargaining units and Labor Management Committees in the delivery of services as indicated.” Is this referring to unions within our own employees, or do partnerships apply as well? | This question refers to partnerships, specifically collective bargaining units representing dislocated workers as well as labor-management committees formed to address the needs of represented dislocated workers. |
Does the three page RFP include budget amounts? |
We are not requesting a budget with this RFP. |
Do we propose the total maximum amount of youth we can serve in a district? |
The number of youth/students that a bidder projects that it would be able to serve should be based on the proposed service area. If that is one school, the number projected should be the number of students that could be served in that building. If it is a school district, the number projected should be for the entire district. If the area is two districts, then the number projected should be based on the two district service area. And, if the area is all Snohomish County, the number to be projected would be the number the bidder estimates it would be able to serve county-wide. |
