Q Given space limitations in both WorkSource Everett and WorkSource Lynnwood, where will staff sit?
A The use of space in both centers is fluid and the WDC will work with the Site Operator and the successful bidder for each facility to develop an appropriate option.
Q Will the successful bidder be expected to pay the cost of housing the contributing staff person at a given center?
A Yes.
Q What salary expenses will be allowed to be reimbursed through this contract? Will the non-direct service staff salary costs be reimbursable, separate from the 9.14% allowable "overhead costs"?
A Non-direct sevice staff salary costs are part of the 9.14%.
Q How much will the successful bidder be required to pay for office space/shared resources for the two on-site staff members who are required to be A) at the Everett Center? B) At the Lynnwood Center ?
A The cost of space for the staff person charged to WIA funds should be included in the WIA budget. The amount budgeted is estimated $1,100 per person per month at each site
Q How will it be determined that the persons receiving services through this contract are persons of disability ?
A The determination will be based on (a) the information recorded on the Registration Form consistent with the definitions in the WIA Forms Manual and the applicant signing the Registration Form attesting to the accuracy of the information recorded and (b) entry of that information into SKIES. In instances where the applicant is being made eligible for WIA as a family of one based on being a person with a disability, third party verification is also required consistent with WDC policy.
The definition of disability in the WIA Forms Manual is:
- any individual who has a physical (motion, vision, hearing) or mental (learning or developmental) impairment which substantially limits one or more of such person's major life activities and has a record of such as impairment, or is regarded as having such an impairment; or
- an individual's physical or mental impairment constitutes or results in a substantial impediment to employment.
