The Snohomish County Workforce Development Council Request for Proposal (RFP) for the selection of contractor(s) for WorkSource Snohomish County Work with Individual, Social, and Economic Benefit (WISE) Investment INitiative Services for Mature Worker for the period of March 1, 2005 to June 30, 2005 is now available.

Written questions will be responded to within 72 hours by posting in the "Questions and Answers" section on this page.

Questions & Answers

Q Given space limitations in both WorkSource Everett and WorkSource Lynnwood, where will staff sit?
A The use of space in both centers is fluid and the WDC will work with the Site Operator and the successful bidder for each facility to develop an appropriate option.

Q Will the successful bidder be expected to pay the cost of housing the contributing staff person at a given center?
A Yes.

Q Is the 9.14% overhead costs allowable based on salaries alone or does it include benefits as well?
A It is based on salaries alone.

Q Are expenses related to the purchase of assessment tools allowable?
A The necessity of purchasing assessment tools will be determinded by program design.

Q Are expenses related to the development of online tools allowable?
A The necessity of developing online tools will be determined by program design.

Q Are expenses related to the RSA allowable?
A RSA costs would be included in the 9.14% overhead costs.

Q Is the funding for the mature worker job fair to come from the budget in this proposal?
A The staff person funded through the WISE proposal will be expected to support, plan, and produce the mature worker job fair in conjunction with the business services account exective team.

Q On page 29 of the RFP, letter g) question is incomplete. A Please delete letter g and do not respond to letter g in the RFP.

Q On page 30, letter i), the RFP states ".fully staffing the services described in 1. above by April 1, 2005." Is this date correct?
A Yes

Q We plan to use Title V-funded staff to meet the non-funded 1.0 FTE requirement. Would use of these staff be acceptable under the requirements of the RFP?
A The vision behind the FTE match is to expand stable services. In addition, it is also the intention to access the expertise and experience of the agency applying. However, a Title 5 funded FTE could be used to supplement the two FTEs.
