The Snohomish County Workforce Development Council Request for Proposal (RFP) for the selection of contractor(s) for Youth in Public Housing for the period of June 1, 2005 through June 30, 2006 is now available.

Written questions will be responded to within 72 hours by posting in the "Questions and Answers" section on this page.

Questions received after May 6, 2005 will not be answered.

Questions and Answers

Q How many youth does the WDC intend for this program to serve?
A A minimum of 20

Q If the only one agency in a consortium is apply for funding, are they the only agency that will need to provide the Documentation of Qualifications?
A Yes

Q What is meant by "lacking affordable housing" as a barrier?
A Because this RFP is targeting youth currently living in public housing, all youth who are living in public housing are considered to lack affordable housing.

Q Can an agency use non-WIA dollars as leverage to apply for 1 AmeriCorps member to work in two different programs if that agency is apply for two different RFP's?
A Yes, as long as the job description of that member is clearly defined, and meets all Youth Connection AmeriCorps Program guidelines.
